Day after Mango man goes missing, body found

Jamshedpur: The body of a 24-year-old person was recovered from bushes near the Adivasi Club in Mango on Sunday, police said.The deceased has been identified as Vikas Singh, a resident of Sankosai in Mango police station limits and painter by occupation., police added.The brother of the deceased, Akash, said, “Vikas had left home on Saturday evening to visit his nephew, who lives near Adivasi Club in Ulidih. He was returning home after meeting the nephew, but did not reach home. We tried to contact him throughout the night over phone, but failed. His body was recovered from bushes near the club.”The officer in-charge of the Ulidih police station, Md Shariq Ali, said, “The body was sent to the MGM Hospital for autopsy. It bore grave injury marks visible on the head, probably the result of assault with a sharp-edged weapon. Investigation is under way to identify and arrest the accused.”
