Dipke plans protests in Lucknow, Amritsar, Jaipur, Bengaluru if Pradhan does not quit

Pune: Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke on Wednesday said they will expand their protests to Lucknow, Amritsar, Jaipur and Bengaluru if Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign.

After leading a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar last week, Dipke will participate in the CJP’s second protest in Pune on Thursday. They have police clearance for the agitation. at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPP).

Dipke, interacting with reporters, held the Centre responsible for issues like the NEET paper leak and irregularities in CBSE re-evaluation process and claimed that more than one crore students have suffered due to the failure of the education ministry.

Dipke said, “Many students would have become doctors and saved the lives of people, but some took their lives due to the system’s failure in ensuring fair examinations. The education minister must take responsibility for his ministry’s failure and resign immediately.”

Started as a satirical platform on social media, the Cockroach Janata Party floated by Dipke got an overwhelming response in a short span. Dipke then decided to travel from the US to India to lead the protest under the banner of CJP in Delhi last week.

“The country’s young people have shown that they are not scared and ready to fight their battles. We want Pradhan’s resignation and if it does not happen, the protest will be launched in other cities to turn into a nationwide agitation,” Dipke said.

The CJP founder said govt should be held accountable for the suffering of the students across the country. He said, “Papers were leaked and servers are not functioning properly. How long will this continue? Will anybody from govt take responsibility for the system’s failure? We are not going to keep quiet till the minister resigns. We are appealing to youths across the country to gather in Delhi on June 20 to expand the protest.”
