Drugs, Rs3 crore found from Motihari trader’s house
Motihari: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), following a tip-off, raided three locations—the house of businessman Pappu Jaiswal, his grocery shop in Hindi Bazar, a warehouse near water tower—on Saturday night and recovered huge quantity of drugs and cash.The team first reached the grocery shop where Rs3-crore cash hidden in four drums was found during search. The raiding party next reached a warehouse near market and recovered ‘doda’ packed in 10 sacks.Jaiswal, originally a resident of Pipra near Motihari, is said to be close to functionaries of parties in office. Jaiswal also runs a motel at Motipur beside NH-28. His son Manish Jaiswal was previously sent to jail in illegal liquor trade, police officials said. The NCB is investigating Pappu’s bank accounts, assets and other networks.
