Thane: Former
Shiv Sena Thane and Kalyan MP Anand Paranjape on Wednesday was appointed as the Shiv Sena state organisation chief for
Maharashtra by party chief leader and Dy CM
Eknath Shinde for one year.
A two-term MP, Paranjape recently switched over to the Sena from the NCP apparently after the party apparently failed to rehabilitate him politically. He switched loyalties from the Sena to the NCP last decade and later followed Ajit Pawar when he split from his uncle Sharad Pawar a few years back.
Soon after his appointment, Paranjape told the media that he would work towards promoting and spreading the Hindutva ideology of Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray and teachings of Dharmaveer Anand Dighe in addition to strengthening the party organisation within the state.
