Portal for cashless health scheme for teachers ready
Lucknow: Expediting the implementation of Chief Minister’s cashless medical scheme for teachers, the education department has developed a dedicated portal for the registration of eligible personnel and their dependents.
The department has also designed the cover and back page of the card to be issued to over 15 lakh teachers and non-teaching staff deployed in state-run primary and secondary schools. The health card for medical treatment for teachers will be issued by the state agency for comprehensive health and integrated services. The cashless treatment facility will be available in govt and private hospitals
The portal -- http://cmtcts.upsdc.gov.in -- is developed for basic education teachers and a similar one will soon be ready for teachers of secondary education. The scheme covers teachers, Shiksha Mitras, special educators and instructors working in schools recognised by the Basic Education Council, wardens and full-time/part-time teachers in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas; and cooks under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Yojana.
To avail of the scheme’s benefits, teachers must take due care that the details entered by them should match the information recorded on their Aadhaar cards. Once the application is submitted, it will be automatically forwarded to the concerned block education officer (BEO) for verification and approval.
The employee will receive an SMS notification on their registered mobile number confirming successful submission and forwarding of the application to the BEO. After approval by the BEO, the application will be forwarded to the concerned District Basic Education Officer (BSA) for final approval.
Issuing directives to additional directors (basic), at 18 administrative divisions, additional chief secretary, basic and secondary education Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma stated that after the application is approved by the BSA, the employee will receive the Family ID via SMS, along with instructions on how to apply for the card. Following this, the employee must visit the NHA beneficiary where they will have to complete the Aadhaar e-KYC. On completion, the employees will get an option of downloading the Chief Minister’s teacher cashless medical card.
