Kolhapur: One man died, and three others were injured after an SUV fell 40 feet from a bridge connecting Tawade hotel chowk to Shiroli Jakat Naka along the road connecting Kolhapur city to Pune-Bengaluru National Highway on Wednesday evening.
According to the police, four men had gone to Tawade hotel chowk to shop and were on their way back to the city when the SUV driver lost control and the vehicle plunged off the bridge.
The deceased man has been identified as Durgaprasad, alias Durgesh Uvappa Eti, a 25-year-old resident of Bagalkote in Karnataka. He died on the spot The injured men are vehicle owner Arjun Chougule, Rohit Mane and Rohit Jondhale, who are undergoing treatment at private hospital.
