A case emerged in Senpaschim Para in Kanpur, where a father allegedly raped his 11-year-old daughter for several months.
Police registered a case on the mother’s complaint, arrested the accused and sent him to jail.
A fourth-class employee in a govt department allegedly assaulted his daughter over several months. The matter came to light in Lucknow when the mother took the girl to a birthday party and the child suddenly fell ill.
The mother took the victim daughter to hospital, where it was confirmed that the child had been raped.
The woman later filed a report against her husband under the
POCSO Act. Police arrested him and sent him to jail on the court’s orders.
A woman told police that 12 years ago, in 2014, she had an inter-religious love marriage with a young man residing in the Sen Paschim Para police station area. In 2015, she gave birth to a daughter and in 2023 to a son.
She said that this past Tuesday, she went with both her children to attend a birthday party in Lucknow, where the daughter suddenly began bleeding from her private parts. She admitted her daughter to a nursing home, where the doctor confirmed that the daughter had been raped.
When she asked her daughter about it, the child said her father raped her continuously for several months.
Sen Paschim Para police station in-charge Pradeep Singh said further action is being taken in the case.
