Jaipur gears up for Yoga Day at four key venues
Jaipur: The district administration has begun preparations for International Yoga Day, with plans to hold mass yoga sessions at four prominent locations across Jaipur on June 21.
District collector Sandesh Nayak reviewed the arrangements during a meeting with officials Tuesday and directed departments to ensure maximum public participation in the event. Yoga programmes will be organised from 6 am to 8 am at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Albert Hall, Patrika Gate and Jal Mahal. The state-level main function will be held at Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Officials said the administration is focusing not only on the event itself but also on encouraging wider participation. Departments including Ayurveda, education and medical and health services have been asked to undertake awareness campaigns and outreach activities in the run-up to Yoga Day.
Schools, colleges, social organisations and various govt departments will be involved in mobilising participants for the programmes.
The collector directed officials to ensure adequate arrangements for drinking water, medical assistance, sanitation, security, parking and traffic management at all venues. Nodal and assistant nodal officers will be appointed for each location to monitor preparations and coordinate arrangements.
Officials have been asked to inspect the venues in advance and verify all facilities before the event. The administration aims to turn International Yoga Day into a community-driven celebration, promoting yoga and healthy living among people from all walks of life.
