Mhow: An award ceremony for young officers (signals) course no YO-165 was held at Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow on Monday.An MCTE press release stated that the ceremony marked the culmination of intensive professional training designed to prepare young officers of the corps of signals to meet the technological and operational challenges of the modern battlefield. The course comprised 63 young officers, including 11 officers from friendly foreign countries of Cameroon, Mongolia, Namibia, Kyrgyzstan, Lesotho, Ivory Coast and Eswatini.DG financial planning and colonel commandant of corps of signals Lt Gen Ulhas Kirpekar was the chief guest of the ceremony. Addressing the officers, Lt Gen Kirpekar complimented them for their dedication, professional competence and commitment towards excellence in military communications and information systems.He also urged the young officers to remain at the forefront of technological innovation and continue upholding the highest traditions of the corps.Lt Yash Vardhan was awarded the coveted plaque of honour and the medal for standing first in the overall order of merit. Lt Gen Kirpekar felicitated the winners in recognition of their outstanding performance during the course.
