E-rickshaw driver dies during family dispute
Times News Network
Indore: A 31-year-old e-rickshaw driver died under suspicious circumstances with knife injuries on his thigh during a family dispute in Dwarkapuri area on Thursday evening.
ACP Shivendu Joshi said that the deceased was identified as Harish Kadam, a resident of North Mohalla. According to Dwarkapuri police, an altercation broke out between family members at their residence earlier in the day. During the dispute, Harish sustained a knife injury.
Joshi said that it was not clear yet whether the knife injury was self-inflicted or he was attacked by brother, wife or any other family member. “We are waiting for the autopsy report following which things will be clear,” he said.
After the incident, his wife, Sheetal, reached the police station with their three children and alleged that Harish’s younger brother, Pau, another relative, Kalli, and his mother, Pushpa, were involved in it. Harish was rushed to MY Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
Police said statements of Sheetal and other family members were being recorded.
Residents of the locality said Harish had gone to work when his wife allegedly called him and informed him about a dispute at home. He returned to the house following the call.
