Blackstone-backed XSIO to invest Rs 600 crore in logistics hub near Indore
Indore: Blackstone-backed XSIO Logistics Parks will invest more than Rs 600 crore to set up an integrated logistics hub near Indore after the MP Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) allotted 23.33 hectares of land to the company at Machal village.
The project, expected to generate over 4,000 direct and indirect jobs, will be developed with foreign investment from global asset manager Blackstone.
“Implementation of these projects will further strengthen the Indore-Pithampur region’s position among the country’s leading industrial and logistics hubs and open new avenues for investment and employment in the state,” MPIDC Indore executive director Himanshu Prajapati said.
Officials said the facility will cater to industries located in Pithampur Sector-7, Mohana industrial area and surrounding clusters by providing integrated logistics and supply chain services.
The project will complement the Rs 1,110-crore Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) under development at Pithampur and the Inland Container Depot (ICD) operated by CONCOR. Together, these facilities are expected to create a comprehensive logistics ecosystem in western Indore and help reduce logistics costs.
Officials said the state govt would extend all necessary support to ensure early execution of the project.
