hyderabad: chief minister nchandrababu naidu on friday instructed the andhra pradesh tourism developmentcorporation (aptdc) officials to build a 200-metre view tower in banjara hillsor jubilee hills area with a 200-seater theme restaurant on top of it. reviewingtourism projects at the state tourism promotion board meeting, the chiefminister directed the board to speed up its projects to give a boost to tourism.the chief minister asked the aptdc to plan a shopping mall, multiplexfacilities, two-level parking, viewing gallery and telecommunications facilitiesat the proposed view tower. according to a press release, naidu asked thecorporation to develop a national institute of tourism and hotel management athyderabad and a holiday resort at ananthagiri hills in vikarabad withmeditation, yoga centre and golf course in an 400-acre area. the release saidthat three eco-tourism projects, namely bird park, botanical garden and nightsafari will be developed at kothaguda near madhapur. the chief minister askedthe officials to organise food festivals and cultural festivals in hyderabad.two virtual reality films on golconda and charminar were exhibited during themeeting, the release said. tourism minister t srinivas yadav, principalsecretary, tourism, chandana khan, managing director of aptdc, anjaneya reddy,commissioner of police, krishna rao and other officials of various departmentswere present at the meeting, the release said. the chief minister wanted theofficials to organise food festivals and cultural festivals in twin cities toattract tourists from all over the country as well as from foreign countries.participants of the review meeting had watched two virtual reality films onhistrorical monuments golconda fort and charminar.
