Ticket almost assured for my daughter: Churchill

MARGAO/VASCO: A day after the Alemao brothers met senior Congress leaders Ahmed Patel and Jagmeet Singh Brar in New Delhi, PWD minister Churchill Alemao on his arrival in Goa declared that their resignations stood withdrawn.
"We have withdrawn our resignations as we do not want to divide the Congress party.Our only purpose was to seek justice for Valanka," Churchill said to TOI on Tuesday.
Significantly, Churchill claimed that the Congress party ticket for Valanka from Benaulim constituency was almost assured to her at the meeting, while Joaquim was reassured that his son Yuri’s candidature for Sanguem constituency would be under "serious consideration" of the party.
"Valanka was told that she would not be fooled this time round and they asked her to continue with the good work she has been doing for the party. They were all praise for Valanka at the meeting," Churchill claimed.
