Preserve Jack de Sequeira’s legacy: Viriato
Colva: South Goa MP Viriato Fernandes on Saturday urged Goans to uphold the legacy of Jack de Sequeira, known as the Father of the Opinion Poll, while unveiling a life-size statue of his at Varca .
The statue was installed by Benaulim Congress block on private property owned by the family of its vice-president, Solon Furtado.
Sukhija thanked the Benaulim Congress block for honouring his great-grandfather and said Sequeira deserved a place in the Goa legislative assembly complex.
He expressed hope that a future Congress govt would accord him the recognition he deserves.
