Panaji: Goa University has announced a second round of admissions to fill postgraduate seats that remained vacant after the first round of admissions at the university and its affiliated colleges for the academic year 2026–27.
The university has already opened registrations for the Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART) Round II, with applications open until June 10.
Students will also have the option to change their discipline, and a change-of-discipline test will be conducted on June 19 and 20, according to a notification.
GU-ART Round II will be held on June 23 and 24 and will be conducted online.
Seats are available across 41 programmes, the varsity said, offering students a fresh opportunity to secure admission to a wide range of postgraduate courses.
These include postgraduate diploma courses in banking and finance, clinical genetics and medical laboratory techniques, business intelligence techniques, Hindi translation, and guidance and counselling.
The university has also announced admissions to master’s programmes in law, international hospitality and tourism management, library and information science, women’s studies, Sanskrit studies, and public administration, among others.
Other specialised programmes on offer include MA in international studies, MA in wellness counselling, MSc in remote sensing and GIS, MSc in food technology, and MSc in atmospheric sciences.
Students currently in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to register for GU-ART.
“Candidates shall be permitted to apply for a maximum of five subjects/specialisations for PG programmes. The GU-ART shall be of one paper of 100 marks, containing 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) of two marks each. There shall be negative marking, where half a mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer. No marks shall be deducted for unanswered questions. The duration of the GU-ART shall be 90 minutes,” Goa University notification states.
The varsity has further stated that candidates appearing for GU-ART Round II will be ranked after candidates who appeared for the previous round.
“All candidates including those who are selected/allotted/offered seats at the Goa University schools or affiliated colleges shall be required to pay the seat confirmation fee of Rs 10,000 in online mode on the Samarth Portal,” GU said.
