Delhi MCD Election Results 2022 Updates: Nearly 55% women among AAP winners

Delhi MCD Election Results 2022 Live Updates: Of the 134 AAP candidates who managed to win MCD elections, at least 71 are women. That means nearly 55% of the victorious AAP candidates are women, according to the state election commission data. The MCD poll results for all 250 wards were declared on Wednesday. While AAP gained majority by winning 134 seats, BJP and Congress won 104 and nine seats, respectively. AAP had fielded 138 women candidates whereas BJP and Congress nominated 136 and 129, respectively. In BJP, of the 136 women candidates, 52 managed to win. Shagufta Chaudhary, a woman candidate from Congress, managed to win with a huge margin of 15,193 votes. The Delhi MCD results are out now.
