Haridwar: A 50-year-old woman from Nagaur city in
Rajasthan was killed and 31 others were injured when a private bus carrying pilgrims overturned in Haridwar on Monday morning.
City police station SHO, Kundan Singh Rana, told TOI, “The accident took place around 7 am on Monday when the bus driver was trying to move onto the Haridwar-Delhi highway from the service lane in Saptarishi area. A vehicle hit the bus, causing it to overturn.”
“The injured were rushed to the district hospital. A woman, identified as Pushpa Kanwar, died during treatment; 31 others sustained injuries, and all are now out of danger,” he said.
