Dehradun: Three alleged drug suppliers, including two Sudanese nationals, were arrested in separate operations in Dehradun on Wednesday, with police recovering 21 grams of cocaine valued at around Rs 20 lakh. Separate cases under NDPS Act were registered at Rajpur police station. Michael Ikka Meckson, 25, and Levikiri Wanki, 24, were arrested near Johri Road in Purani Mazar area while travelling on a scooter. Police recovered 9.15 grams of cocaine from them.During interrogation, the duo allegedly told police they were associated with Cobra Gang and regularly travelled between Sudan and Dehradun. Investigators said they sourced cocaine from Delhi and supplied it to clients in different parts of the country. Both were staying in Punjabi Colony near ISBT in Dehradun.In a separate operation, police arrested Javed, 37, a resident of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, from a car near Old Mussoorie Road and seized 11.77 grams of cocaine. Police said he admitted to procuring the contraband from Delhi for distribution.SSP Parmendra Dobhal said the arrests were made following intelligence inputs and efforts to dismantle Cobra Gang’s drug network. “Acting on leads, the Sudanese nationals were caught when they arrived in the Rajpur area to supply cocaine at high-profile parties,” he said.Dobhal said police had earlier arrested 13 members of the gang, including nine foreign nationals, and recovered 200 grams of cocaine worth approximately Rs 2.5 crore. “Further investigation is underway to identify and arrest other traffickers linked to the network. The vehicles used in drug trafficking have also been seized,” Dobhal said.
