Panchkula police parade four murder accused with shaved heads through Pinjore market
Panchkula: In a dramatic and highly visible law enforcement action, the Panchkula Police on Saturday paraded four accused individuals—with their heads publicly shaved—through the main market of Pinjore.
The suspects, arrested in connection with the recent murder of a local businessman, were brought back to the exact spot where they allegedly executed the crime.
The police operation drew a massive crowd, completely bringing the bustling market to a standstill as hundreds of shopkeepers and local residents gathered to witness the scene. Led by heavily armed police personnel, the walk was orchestrated as part of the ongoing investigation to reconstruct the sequence of events at the crime scene.
People were seen making videos, reels and clicking pictures. The four moved slowly apparently due to injuries.
By marching the accused through the public eye in this manner, the police department aimed to send a harsh, unyielding message to anti-social elements. However, the police said it was only part of reconstructing of sequence of crime scene.
The strong-handed approach has sparked intense conversation across Panchkula, with many local traders and residents welcoming the move as a necessary deterrent to restore a sense of safety and confidence among the business community and general public.
