Hisar: In a major disciplinary action, four police personnel, including the CIA in-charge of Kalanwali, were suspended over allegations of involvement in illegal activities in Dabwali police district. The action was initiated following a review by Hisar Range IGP Kuldeep Singh, who recently visited the district and ordered a probe into complaints against certain officers.
Those suspended include Kalanwali CIA in-charge sub-inspector Suresh Kumar, Dabwali CIA ASI Balwan, ASI Rajender Singh and Head Constable Ramesh Kumar. Confirming the action, IGP Kuldeep Singh said the officers were facing multiple complaints and allegations relating to their involvement in unlawful activities. However, police officials did not specify the exact nature of the alleged misconduct, stating that further departmental enquiries were underway. The suspensions come amid growing scrutiny of the Dabwali police district, which has witnessed a series of disciplinary actions in recent weeks. Earlier, the CIA in-charge of Dabwali was also suspended as part of departmental proceedings.
In another high-profile case, security agent (SA) Indradev was suspended and later arrested along with a home guard jawan in connection with an alleged extortion racket involving a medical store owner. A video purportedly showing cash being accepted from the shopkeeper went viral on social media, prompting police action. Senior police officials maintained that strict action would continue against any personnel found violating departmental norms or indulging in illegal activities.
