Sneaky rides come with risks

Motorists are slipping onto the sleek new 71-km stretch of the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway between Hoskote and Bethamangala. But the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued warning drivers that this section, though tempting, isn’t officially open yet.

6 hours to 3: The clock’s ticking

Once complete, the expressway will slash the Bengaluru-Chennai travel time from six hours to just three. Say goodbye to long road trips and hello to express speed.Photo credit: PC Mohan/ X

More than just a road

The expressway isn’t just for speed—it's set to ease traffic, boost regional trade, and improve connectivity for daily commuters, giving a major push to local economies.

What’s next?

Expect a smoother ride with an underpass at Kolathur and a flyover connecting to Kolar—cutting down congestion and ensuring faster commutes.
