“Entitled brat”: Hasan Piker faces new backlash yet Ana Kasparian delivers surprising defense against allegations

Independent commentator Ana Kasparian has pushed back against serious claims made about popular streamer Hasan Piker. The discussion started after commentator Dave Rubin spoke about Piker during a conversation with Xaviaer DuRousseau on May 21. Rubin claimed that Piker behaved inappropriately while working at The Young Turks and alleged that he harassed women in the workplace, including Kasparian. But Kasparian publicly denied those accusations days later. On May 28, she shared a clip of Rubin’s comments on X and strongly rejected the claims.

She wrote that Hasan Piker should sue Dave Rubin for defamation and said she was “never harassed by Has, sexually or otherwise.” Kasparian also accused Rubin of making up harassment allegations and speaking on her behalf without any basis. Her response gained attention online as people debated the claims being made by both sides. According to Kasparian, the allegations involving her were completely false.

The controversy began when Dave Rubin reflected on his time working around Hasan Piker at The Young Turks. Rubin claimed that Piker often made inappropriate comments and said management eventually had him work remotely because of complaints involving women at the company. Rubin also suggested that Ana Kasparian was among those affected.

However, Kasparian quickly shut down that part of the story. In her response, she said Rubin was creating false harassment claims and insisted that Hasan Piker never harassed her in any way. When one X user criticized Piker and called him an “entitled brat,” Kasparian replied that while she may disagree with him on certain things, he never harassed her.

Rubin also spoke about Piker’s career path during the interview. He argued that Piker came from a privileged background and benefited from family connections, pointing to his relationship with The Young Turks founder Cenk Uygur. Rubin claimed that Piker received opportunities on camera earlier than many others who were trying to earn similar roles.

Beyond workplace allegations, Rubin criticized Piker’s political views and public comments. He accused the streamer of supporting controversial positions and referenced past discussions that, in Rubin’s opinion, crossed a line. Rubin said he disagreed with any suggestion that political violence could ever be justified and argued that such arguments create dangerous standards.

Meanwhile, Hasan Piker has continued focusing on his regular streaming content. During a recent broadcast, he discussed ongoing talks involving the United States and Iran and shared his thoughts on negotiations surrounding enriched uranium. While debate around Rubin’s comments continues online, Kasparian’s public denial remains the biggest development in the story because it directly challenges one of the central allegations made against Piker.
