Kang Tae Oh, Ong Seongwu, Cha Seo Won: Actors who will be discharged from military training this year

2024 is here with some exciting news… a whole lot of popular actors will be discharged from duty and will return to entertain fans. From Extraordinary Attorney Woo actor Kang Tae Oh to 'Strong Girl Nam-soon' star Ong Seongwu and Cha Seo Won… take a look at stars who will wrap up their mandatory service this year.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo actor Kang Tae Oh enlisted for military in September 2022. Months after his enlistment, the actor's bulked up pictures from the training had gone viral on the internet. He enlisted soon after the popular series released. Kang Tae Oh is all set to wrap his 18 months of service this year. He will reportedly be discharged from the military on March 19, 2024.

In April 2023, Ong Seongwu announced that he had enlisted in the military. "My heart breaks to say goodbye for a while to people who are precious to me, but it’s something that I eventually have to do and something that I of course ought to do, so instead of saying a lot of words, I’d rather confidently and cheerfully say that I’ll come back safely," he had said in a note addressed to his fans. The 'Strong Girl Nam-soon' actor will be discharged from the military on October 16 this year.

Cha Seo Won enlisted for the mandatory military training in November 2022. Soon after, he suffered a sprain in his wrist but fortunately he continued the training after the minor injury. Interestingly, after Cha Seo Won is discharged from the South Korean military in May this year, he will tie the knot with Uhm Hyun Kyung, who welcomed their first baby, a son in October 2023.

Actor and singer Yoo Young Jae had enlisted for the mandatory training in November 8, 2022. "Mm… this is probably very sudden, but I’m going to be enlisting in the military on November 8. I debuted on January 27, 2012, and I’ve made lots of great memories up until now. Thanks to all of you, I was really happy in the 10 years following my debut, and I think that because of that, I spent [those 10 years] trying to become a better person. Now, I will work hard at fulfilling my military duty and, after returning in good health 18 months later, try to show you both good acting and good music," he had shared in an announcement note. Yoo Young Jae is expected to be discharged from duty on May 7, 2024.
