Content wise, 2023 has been path-breaking with a host of different genre shows streaming on OTT, right from cop dramas to crime thrillers to family sagas and more. With more and more avenues opening up on OTT platforms, creators are constantly reinventing themselves vis à vis fresh stories, actors and formats. As we kickstart a new month, here is some OTT content you can look forward to in June

Asur, season 2

Asur, starring Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti, Sharib Hashmi and Amey Wagh, is the story of a fanatic serial killer with religious ties. The psychological, edge-of-the-seat drama, directed by Oni Sen, pits two opposite worlds against each other as the battle of science vs faith results in mayhem and a bloody trail of innocent deaths. While the first season was lapped up the audience, the second season will be out tomorrow, June 1.

Scoop

The shocking murder of a journalist thrusts a crime reporter into the nexus of police, media and the Mumbai underworld as she fights for justice. Based on Jigna Vora's biographical memoir Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison, the series is directed by Hansal Mehta. Starring Karishma Tanna and Harman Baweja in lead roles, the web series has been creating a buzz ever since the trailer came out a couple of weeks back. It will hit your TV screens on June 2.

School of Lies

When 12-year-old Shakti goes missing, things start to spiral out of control, revealing the hidden skeletons in the closet of the boarding school, RISE. Starring Nimrat Kaur in the lead role, the series also stars Varin Roopani, Divyansh Dwivedi, Aryan Singh Ahlawat, Hemant Kher, Parthiv Shetty, Adrija Sinha, and Aalekh Kapoor. Directed by Avinash Arun, the edge of your seat drama will release on June 2.

Bloody Daddy

Shahid Kapoor's chic, edgy crime drama has been making waves ever since the trailer came out last week. Diving deep into the murky world of drug cartels and smuggling, the movie co-stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Ronit Roy, along with Diana Penty. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who co-wrote the film with Aditya Basu and Siddharth–Garima, the sleek thriller will release on an OTT platform on June 9.

The Night Manager Season 2

The espionage thriller follows a hotel night manager and ex-navy guy, as he infiltrates an influential arms dealer, to bring him down. Adapted from John le Carré’s novel and the British series by the same name, the series stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala. While the first season opened to rave reviews, fans can't wait for season 2, scheduled to hit your TV screens on June 30.
