Consecration ceremony at Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple: Helicopter showers petals

After 16 years, the grand consecration ceremony began at Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple at Palani in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul district. All the gopurams including the Rajagopuram and Thangavimanam were adorned with flowers. Helicopter showered petals in the grand ceremony. A consecration ceremony that is performed in Hindu temples, is an elaborate and important event. The ceremony generated a lot of excitement among devotees.
