The Parliament of Turkey ratified Finland's application to join NATO. After the ratification, Finland will become the 31st member of Nato and the formal process will be done in Nato's next summit which is to be held in July this year in Lithuania. Turkey had delayed Finland's bid to join the alliance, complaining the Nordic nation was supporting 'terrorists'. Finland and Sweden applied to join Nato after Russia invaded Ukraine. But Turkey and Hungary objected to their bid to become members.
