Holi 2019: Madhya Pradesh tribals celebrates Bhagoria festival

The famous festival of aboriginal Bhils and Bhilalas ‘Bhagoria’, celebrated in the various districts of Madhya Pradesh. Tribal groups and the state tourism department differ on why and how the festival is being celebrated, thus sparking a controversy over the rich cultural festival. This year, the festival will begin on March 11, a week before Holi festival. The festival is celebrated among the tribals of Jhabua, Dhar, Barwani, Khandwa, Khargone and Alirajpur districts of western Madhya Pradesh a week ahead of Holi.
