At least six workers were killed after an under-construction bridge collapsed during a storm in Uttar Pradesh’s Hamirpur district late Thursday night. The bridge over the Betwa River reportedly gave way around 2 am while construction work was ongoing. Officials fear the death toll may rise as several labourers remain trapped beneath debris. SDRF teams are conducting rescue operations continuously. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered immediate relief measures, treatment for injured workers and compensation for families affected by the tragedy. Watch
