Boxing, chai and shaayari: When PM Modi met women boxers Nikhat Zareen, Manisha Moun, Parveen Hooda

PM Narendra Modi on June 1 met the three Indian boxers who returned with medals at the world championship event in Istanbul. The PM met boxing world champion Nikhat Zareen along with Manisha Moun and Parveen Hooda, who also won medals at the event. While Nikhat clinched the coveted gold in flyweight (52kg) division, Manisha and debutant Parveen earned podium finishes in the 57kg and 63kg categories respectively. The PM tweeted about the meeting with the boxers. “We had excellent conversations on their life journeys including passion towards sports and life beyond it. Best wishes for their future endeavours,” the PM said.
