US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and a delegation of a half dozen U.S. Representatives met on Monday with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Poland. The visit to the Polish Presidential Palace in Warsaw came two days after Pelosi and her delegation met in Kyiv with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Pelosi, second in line to the presidency after the vice president, is the most senior American lawmaker to visit Ukraine since Russia’s war began more than two months ago. Only days earlier, Russia bombed the Ukrainian capital while the U.N. secretary-general Antonio Guterres was there.
