Rescuers continued to clear rubble from damaged buildings in the Ukrainian city of Chernihiv on Saturday, after shelling and airstrikes left the city in ruins. Video shared by the Ukrainian emergency services showed rescuers at work in a multi-storey apartment building that was partially destroyed by Russian missiles in March. Some 50 workers were involved in the operation, according to the State Emergency Service. The mayor of the city, Vladyslav Atroshenko, said that 70% of Chernihiv had been destroyed. Russian troops withdrew from the besieged city at the beginning of April.
