An investor in Dogecoin has sued Elon Musk for $258 billion, saying the Tesla boss promoted the crypto currency and he is responsible for losses suffered by investors. Keith Johnson also wants his plea to be treated like a class action suit. His estimate is that investors suffered losses of about $86 billion, and he wants that the billionaire should pay that along with double the amount as damages. Doge coin was trading for a few cents and wasn’t considered much valuable till the Tesla boss started to mention it in his tweets. The value of the crypto asset then rose to about 75 cents. However, it is now trading for less than 6 cents, meaning investors have suffered losses of over 90% of their investment.
