Lucky escape! Air India Express aircraft overshoots Mumbai runway, no injuries reported

Passengers in an Air India Express Boeing 737 aircraft have a lucky escape as the flight overshot the runway while landing in Mumbai airport. The incident happened as heavy rains have lashed the city causing slippery conditions in the airport. The Air India Flight IX213 from Vijaywada landed on the secondary runway as the primary runway was closed for maintenance. While landing, the aircraft could not halt within the runway and stopped 10 feet beyond the runway. However, no damage to the aircraft, airport property reported by the authorities. All the passengers in the aircraft are reportedly safe.
