Aurangabad: Water company fined 10K for using banned plastic

The civic officials on Saturday raided Chikalthana industrial area-based mineral water company that used banned plastic pouches to package its product. As per the findings of the civic body, water pouches are among the highest contributors of plastic waste in the city. A team led civic body’s head of solid waste management, assistant commissioner Nandkishore Bhombe, raided Dhotre Water Suppliers and seized several rolls of plastic that were used by the unit for packing water in pouches and selling them.
