Kerala floods rescue: Indian Air Force airlifts a person in flood affected Pathanamthitta district of Kerala

Rainfall continues to lash against the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala as flooding continues in the region. Torrential rains have been reported in the areas since Wednesday and will continue till tomorrow according to reports. Residents are stranded in their homes in Aranmula and Ranni as the water levels are rising steadily in the areas from Chengannur to Ranni. Helicopters are helping in the rescue operations as they proceed in the Panamthitta and Chalakkudy. Boats are also being used for rescue but their operations are frequently disrupted due to rains.
