On cam: Covid-19 norms flouted at a pre-wedding party in Surat

Covid-19 norms were flouted at a pre-wedding party in Gujarat's Surat. Two cops were suspended after videos of dancing at the wedding function went viral on social media. Police initiated legal actions after taking cognisance of the videos and suspended two cops who were on duty in the area. According to reports, the dance function was organised by Idrish Malek, a local BJP leader, before his daughter's wedding. Superintendent of police Usha Rada said, 'Two cops have been suspended while police will register a case against the organiser of the event.'
