MUMBAI: The five-week long budget session of the state legislature will begin on March 15 and is expected to see a face-off between the government and the opposition on issues such as corruption and law and order.
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, who heads the finance ministry, will present the budget on March 26. This was decided in a Business Advisory Committee meeting in the Vidhan Bhavan premises in Mumbai on Tuesday.
This will be CM Prithviraj Chavan's second budget session after taking over in November 2010 in the wake of the Adarsh scam.
