Bigg Boss Telugu: A quick look at what ex-contestants of the show are doing now

Bigg Boss Telugu season 3 is all set to premiere tonight (July 21). Fans are quite excited about the contestants participating in this season. The list of Bigg Boss Telugu 3 contestants includes celebs across TV, film, music and social media as well.

Ahead of the glitzy launch tonight at 9PM, here’s a quick look at what the popular ex-Bigg Boss Telugu contestants are doing now.

The popular actor emerged as the winner of the debut season of the reality show hosted by Jr NTR. He is known for his straight forward and affable nature. He was a rebel with a reason. However, on professional front, his Bigg Boss triumph did not do wonders for the actor as expected by many. He produced a film in which he played the lead. Besides, he later appeared on the celebrity dance show Neethoney dance and Ohmkar’s Sixth Sense as a guest.

Bigg Boss Telugu 2 winner Kaushal Manda earned stardom with the reality show. The contestant made a huge noise with his stint in the house and controversial fan club ‘Kaushal Army’. He planned to feature in a movie and use his fame for several philanthropic activities through his fan club. However, he had to shut down Kaushal Army following allegations of financial fraud. Besides his appearance on the TV show Sixth Sense season 2 along with his family, Kaushal largely got confined to his modeling assignments.

The season 1 finalist was one of the few ex-contestants who could benefit from her BB stint. Post Bigg Boss, Hariteja went to host TV shows like Fidaa, Pandaga Chesko and Super Singer. She even turned a playback singer and crooned a chartbuster under the composition of Thaman S, who made his Telugu TV debut with Super Singer.

The popular actor, who stepped into the BB house as a wild card entrant, was the biggest entertainer of the first season. After Bigg Boss, Navdeep hosted the game show Tollywood Squares besides a couple of appearances on Suma Kanakala’s game show Cash.

Sampoornesh Babu was an internet sensation before his debut film went on to be a runaway hit. However, the actor got self-evicted from the house as he couldn’t accustom to the conditions in the house. However, he wasn’t active either on TV or silver screen. He recently appeared on TV shows like Sixth Sense 2, Pove Pora and Bhale Chance le as a guest.

The Bigg Boss Telugu 2 runner-up was a popular playback singer even before taking part in the TV reality show. She is back to her forte without venturing into TV or silver screen. However, she is busy with music concerts of late.

TV anchor Syamala is one of the two contestants who got a chance to make a re-entry into Bigg Boss Telugu season 2. The yummy mummy underwent a significant transformation during her stint in the show. She upped her game and glam quotient post eviction and went on to become one of the most sought-after TV hosts in the industry. Her husband Narasimha also got to play pivotal roles in leading soaps like Karthika Deepam and Meenakshi.

Bigg Boss Telugu season 2 opened doors for commoners. RJ-tuned-techie Ganesh, scholar-turned-politician Nutan Naidu and model Sanjana Anne were picked as contestants in the common man category. Keeping aside Sanjana Anne’s brief stint in the house, Ganesh and Nutan managed to pronounce their presence in the house. Soon after eviction, Ganesh resumed his job as a techie in Hyderabad. However, he has acted in a couple of yet-to-be-released films too. Nutan Naidu, on the other hand, appeared in successful films like F2 – Fun and Frustration but his prime focus remains to be politics. Sanjana hasn’t made any notable appearance on TV or films.

Tejaswi Madivada grabbed the attention of the world with her controversial Bigg Boss stint. She bagged a TV show soon after her eviction from Bigg Boss Telugu 2. She made her TV debut with the stand-up comedy show The Great Telugu Laughter Challenge alongside ace comedian Brahmanandam. She is not active on TV since the show concluded.

Bhanu Sri was just any other starlet who was waiting for her due. Supporting roles in films like Baahubali also couldn’t get her close to the masses. However, she grabbed attention with her no-nonsense attitude and straight forward talk in Bigg Boss Telugu season 2. She went to feature as a team leader in the popular dance show Dhee Jodi for a couple of episodes before she could quit the show due to a Bigg Boss contract breach. She played the female lead in the daily soap Rendu Rella Aaru later and is currently busy with off-shore events.
