Bigg Boss Telugu 4 to launch on Sunday; a look at top rivalries in the previous three seasons

Popular reality TV series Bigg Boss stands synonymous with controversies and the Telugu version of the series is no exception. The reality TV series in Telugu has some major yet entertaining rivalries between the contestants. Ahead of BB Telugu season 4's launch on Sunday (Sep 6), here's a quick look at the top rivalries of the previous seasons.

2/7

Mumaith Khan vs co-contestants

The debut season of Bigg Boss Telugu hosted by Jr NTR was launched amid demands that the actor shouldn’t host a show that depicts content against sensibilities of Telugu community and Indian culture at large. Mumaith Khan is easily the most controversial contestant of the season. The actress often picked up fights with co-inmates. The one with Prince and Siva Balaji in the role-play task drew all the attention for the show.

3/7

Kaushal vs the rest of his inmates

Kaushal and Tanish were one of the toughest contenders in the season 2 and they often viewed each other as competitors, too. As they had their own groups in the BB house, they did not hesitate to get physical during the tasks and threaten each other of dire consequences after stepping out of the house as the show inched towards the finale. The rivalry continued even after the conclusion of the show. While Kaushal accused Tanish of plotting against him in the Kaushal Army controversy, the latter even contemplated a defamation case against Kaushal. Tanish and a few other contestants even kept Kaushal out of their special song on COVID-19 awareness during the lockdown.

4/7

Kaushal vs the rest of his inmates

Right from the episode where Kireeti squeezed lemon in Kaushal's eyes to the finale, Kaushal Manda has maintained throughout the season that the rest of his inmates are targeting him in the house. He also stayed secluded in the BB house for most of the time and had no close friends throughout the season except Nutan Naidu.

5/7

Nutan Naidu vs Babu Gogineni

Controversial human rights activist Babu Gogineni earned the tag of "Bigger Boss" in the house with his rational thinking and rebellious attitude. He enjoyed great respect in the house and gelled along with most of the contestants except Nutan Naidu. Both of them had some major face offs not only in the house but also after Bigg Boss Telugu season 2.

6/7

Sreemukhi and Rahul Sipligunj

Rahul Sipligunj and Sreemukhi are a classic example of friends-turned-foes in the Bigg Boss house. They were at loggerheads right from day one. However, the differences escalated after Rahul called her ‘faltu’ and allegedly made offensive comments on her profession as well. Rahul and Sreemukhi tried to clear their differences many-a-time but ended up with a new reason to hate each other. In a nail-biting finale, Rahul was crowned as the winner of season 3. Post Bigg Boss Telugu 3, the two have met once to silence the naysayers, however, they still prefer to stay away from each other.

7/7

Tamanna Simhadri and Ravikrishna

The rivalry between transgender contestant Tamanna Simhadri and TV actor Ravikrishna is perhaps the only one which faded away by the end of the season. Tamanna’s provocative game crossed the line when she resorted to take revenge on Ravikrishna for allegedly nominating her for elimination. Tamanna, who considered it as a breach of trust, openly declared to avenge the humiliation. She continued to make offensive comments on Ravi and the latter had no choice but to silently endure it. In the process, Tamanna picked up fights with Rohini and Siva Jyothi as well. Tamanna and Ravikrishna later apologised to each other towards the end of the show.
