Actor Vijay Sethupathi is all set to host the cookery reality show MasterChef Tamil, which is expected to premiere very soon. Earlier, he hosted the show 'Namma Ooru Hero' that highlighted the achievements of the unsung heroes who worked for betterment of the society. Namma Ooru Hero aired between January, 2019, and May, 2019.

Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan forayed into television as a host with Bigg Boss Tamil in 2017. Kamal got closer to the telly audiences with the show. He has hosted four seasons so far and is expected to return as host for season 5 as well.

Suriya hosted the first season of the popular reality show Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi (NVOK). It is the Tamil adaptation of the popular TV series ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?’. The first season of the show premiered in February, 2012 and went off-air in July, 2012.
