From Nisha Ganesh to Sastika: TV Celebrities cast their votes; urges all to be a responsible citizen

General Elections 2019 are held all over India in 7 different phases. Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and a few other states went to polls today, on April 18. Nisha Ganesh, actress and wife of Bigg Boss Tamil fame Ganesh Venkatraman cast her vote and posted picture regarding the same. Just a few days before, Nisha’s hubby Ganesh announced that they are expecting their first child. Nisha’s act of taking efforts to vote even during her expecting mom-to-be stage is lauded by netizens. Nisha Ganesh wrote -

“I did my part did you?

TV host Sriranjani Sundaram, wife of TV actor Amit Bhargav, also proudly flaunted her inked finger. However, her fans suggested that the actress should take care of her health as she is also an expectant mom. Sriranjani wrote -

“வை ராஜா மை.. இன்றைய காலை ஒரு சுப ஆரம்பமாக அமைய வேண்டுகிறேன் :) #tnelection #votevotevote #chennaisuperqueen (Sic)’’.

Actress Shruti Haasan, daughter of Kamal Haasan, voted in this general election and got her finger inked.

Shruti Haasan, who hosted the show Hello Sago, wrote -

Bigg Boss Tamil fame Mumtaz also cast her vote and merrily posed with the inked finger. Besides sharing her picture, Mumtaz wrote -

Sastika Rajendran, ex-host of the Vankkam Tamizha show has cast her vote in Coimbatore. Post casting her vote, Sastika posed a picture with the inked finger on Twitter and wrote -

“Call for duty.

Voting is not just a right but also a duty.

Do it right.

I have voted in Coimbatore. I challenge all my followers to do the same in their respective constituencies.

Remember the past before you vote.

Nenjam Marapathillai actress Sharanya Turadi Sundaraj also exercised her voting duties. While the actress complained that she had to wait all day, the joy of voting can be seen in the picture. Singer Saindhavi Prakash, the judge of the Star Singer show has fulfilled her voting responsibilities. She went to cast her vote with actor and music composer G.V.Prakash Kumar. Isvar Raghunathan, the male lead of the serial Devathaiyai Kanden cast his vote and happily shared a picture of his inked finger.
