From Bigg Boss Tamil 3 to Kodeeswari: Here are the non-fiction shows to entertain viewers during lockdown

Due to the ongoing lockdown and suspension on the shoot imposed from March 19, TV channels are going air their popular shows once again. A number of popular fiction and non-fiction shows will get a rerun from this week.

From Bigg Boss Tamil 3 to Kodeeswari, let's have a look at the non-fiction shows which are set to entertain the viewers during the lockdown phase.

Bigg Boss Tamil season 3 premiered on June 23, 2019, and ended on October 6, 2019. Just like previous two seasons, renowned actor Kamal Haasan hosted the BB Tamil season 3 too. 15 celebrities from different walks of life entered the BB house on the premiere day. Later, 3 wild card contestants took part in the show. Singer-actor Mugen Rao was crowned as the winner of the season.

Kodeeswari is the Tamil version of the reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). The show, hosted by Radikaa Sarathkumar premiered on December 23, 2019 and ended on February 23, 2020. Interestingly, the show featured only women right from the host to the participants.

Enga Veetu Mapillai (EVM) is a matchmaking reality show which is based on the popular show The Bachelor. It was conceptualised to find a suitable bride for actor Arya and was hosted by actress Sangeetha Krish. This show premiered on February 20, 2018 and ended on April 17, 2018 after airing for 41 episodes. 16 girls took part in this show.

Lollu Sabha, one of the evergreen spoof comedy shows, is getting aired from April 6 on the weekdays at the morning slot. Many popular movies and other TV shows were parodied in this comedy show. This show premiered on August 22, 2004 and came to an end on August 19, 2007 after airing for more than 150 episodes. It featured Santhanam, Swaminathan, Jeeva, Balaji, Manohar and Jangiri Madhumitha. Comedian Yogi Babu, who is a leading comedian in Kollywood, had featured in this show.

Dance Vs. Dance show premiered on November 24, 2018 and came to a closure on March 3, 2019. Kiki Vijay and Vijay hosted this show. Choreographer Brindha and actor Nakhul were the two judges. Each week one guest judge graced the show. With Dance Vs Dance, actor Nakhul made his small screen debut as a judge.

Singing Stars reality show that premiered on March 16, 2019 and ended on June 9, 2019. It was presented by Kiki Vijay and Vijay. Popular Music Director Santhosh Narayanan, singers Shakthisree Gopalan and Ananthu were part of the judges' panel. This show marked as the television debut of Santhosh Narayanan.

Kallapetti was a popular game show hosted by Imman Annachi. It premiered on September 30, 2019 and came to an end on January 25, 2020 on its 100th episode. Kalla Petti is another game show, which featured women participants only. It featured 3 interesting rounds like Round 1 - Pattonu Solu, Panatha Solu, Round 2 - Konjam Poti, Neraya Looti and Round 3 - Anj Nodi, Panatha Pudi.
