Bigg Boss Tamil 4: From Anitha Sampath-Suresh Chakravarthy's heated argument to Balaji Murugadoss-Shivani Narayanan’s closeness; here's what happened in week 1

The first week of Bigg Boss Tamil 4 was quite eventful. The housemates got into fights even before they could settle down inside the BB house. Well, they also made some friends and performed well in the weekly task too. Let's take a look what all happened inside the house...

The housemates are instructed by Bigg Boss to perform the first task. The housemates had to pick the balls kept in the garden area. While everyone picked one or two, Ramya was left with none. She got worried about losing the first task. Bigg Boss summoned her to the confession room and gave a pleasant shock by nominating her as the captain. Ramya became the first captain of this season. She was quite happy.

Since her entry into the house, Shivani Narayanan stayed aloof from everyone. In the task of stamping hearts and heartbreaks, she got the maximum number of heartbreaks. Aari asked Shivani the reason behind her 'over-active' status on social media. Shivani spoke about her eagerness to earn appreciation. Aari suggested, in BB, being a 'bystander' won't help. She should be active in the game too.

Shivani and Balaji got quite closer. In fact, Shivani had conversations with Balaji about her friends, free time activities and much more. Social Media is abuzz that Shivani - Balaji might be the first love birds of this season. Sathish, a leading actor tweeted, “Ok. Oru jodi ready (Sic)”, hinting at Balaji - Shivani.

Sanam Shetty and Rekha Harris were part of the cooking team. Rekha wanted to prepare the food for the housemates on time. Rekha made quick arrangements for cooking food before Sanam could freshen up and finish her make-up. This didn’t go well with Sanam. They fought a few times.

Som Shekar cracked a joke and compared Anitha with Vanitha Vijaykumar, who was one of the most controversial contestants of Bigg Boss Tamil 3. Anitha got offended by this.

Based on the narration of their stories, Bigg Boss asked the housemates to pick the most eligible and the least eligible contestants. On this basis, Gabriella Charlton, Sanam Shetty, Samyuktha Karthik, Rekha Harris, Shivani Narayanan, Ramya Pandian, Suresh Chakravarthy and Aajeedh Khalique got picked for nomination. From 8 housemates, 2 will be chosen for the nomination, the following week.

Aari Arjuna observed that food is being wasted inside the house. He suggested that the housemates should stop it. He suggested to cook food based on their requirement and not waste it.

Anitha Sampath made a funny news announcement regarding Suresh Chakravarthy. In return, without naming any newsreader, Suresh cracked a joke on the tendency of spitting during the news reading. It offended Anitha. They had a fight but later solved the issue.

Due to the frequent fights, Suresh Chakravarthy made a request to the captain Ramya Pandian to change his team. After multiple conversations, Suresh moved to the restroom cleaning team.

In the presence of Ramya Pandian, Aari Arjuna, Aajeedh Khalique and Shivani Narayanan Balaji spoke highly about the beauty pageants conducted by him. Balaji commented that the beauty pageant won by Sanam Shetty wasn’t authentic and winners from such pageants don't represent India in a bigger platform. Later, Balaji tried to sort out the differences with Sanam. But, the heated conversation between them led to a big fight.
