In one of the episodes of MHJ, Samir performed a comedy skit and did the Tarpa dance which is the festive dance of Tribal communities. The tribal communities filed a case against Samir and warned him not to do so in the future. Samir met the community leaders and apologized for his performance and skit. Samir also told them that his intention wasn't to hurt anyone and he won't repeat such dances hereafter.

Actor Onkar Bhojane left the show midway a few months ago and shocked the viewers. Onkar quit the show and joined another comedy show Fu Bai Fu months later but unfortunately, Fu Bai Fu went off-air after airing only a few episodes. Onkar's sudden exit from the show sparked various rumours but Onkar decided to stay mum about it.

After Onkar, Vishakha Subhedar quit Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra midway. The actress made an exit from the show saying she does not want to play similar roles. She later joined the TV show Shubh Vivah as an antagonist. Vishakha also urged her fans not to spread rumours about her exit.

Nikhil and Snehal are known as one of the popular comedians from the reality comedy TV shows like MHJ and Chala Hawa Yeu Dya respectively. The duo attended actress Vanita Kharat's wedding together and Nikhil posted a picture from the event with Snehal by writing a romantic poem in the caption. Since then, dating rumours started spreading on social media. However, they later denied dating each other.

Priyadarshini recently shared a picture on social media with her MHJ co-actor Onkar Raut from the wedding of Vanita Kharat. The duo came under the scanner when the picture went viral. In the picture, Onkar can be seen looking into the eyes of Priyadarshini while the actress has her hand on his chest. Priyadarshini later denied dating Onkar and said, "We are just friends".
