Popular Marathi reality show, Bigg Boss Marathi, is set to make a grand return with a brand new season. They also have roped in some popular faces as this year's contestants. The viewers and the fans were eagerly waiting for its launch and, finally, it is all set to air from 19th Sept. Though, it is worth the wait, the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Marathi 3 will be exceptional for some reasons. Take a look.

Filmmaker and the host of the show Mahesh Manjrekar were recently diagnosed with urinary bladder cancer and he underwent surgery. The host is on the way to his full recovery and will be hosting the upcoming season. Fans of the show were curious about Mahesh's health and were speculating many names as an alternate host but finally, Mahesh announced that he will be the host of this season as well by sharing the promo of the show.

Covid19 and the pandemic have affected the film industry as well as the TV industry the most. Many films and their release were postponed and it happened with Bigg Boss Marathi too. The show was about to launch in April 2020 but due to the Covid19 lockdown, it was postponed to 2021. Even in 2021, the show was to launch in April-May but due to the second wave of Covid19, it was postponed to September. The show is now finally set to launch on 19 September.

Marathi TV has witnessed many reality shows during Covid and post covid19 lockdown but those shows could not be managed to be on the TRP charts and only aired for few weeks. Post lockdown, Bigg Boss Marathi is going to be the biggest TV show which is all set for an entertainment audience.

As per few reports, this season is going to be extra special for one more reason, its contestant's diversity. In the upcoming season, we might see contestants from different and diverse mediums like film, folk, musical, dance, theatre, television, social media backgrounds. etc.

The Bigg Boss Marathi 3'set has located in filmcity, Mumbai. As Mumbai was one of the cities affected by the second wave and also an apparent third wave knocking at the door it would be much interesting to see how the makers make foolproof the bubble life and maintain covid protocols of the contestants and crew on the set.
