​RIP Jayant Savarkar: Samir Choughule, Rupali Bhosle and others reminisce fond memories with the late veteran Marathi actor​

Renowned Marathi actor Jayant Savarkar breathed his last in Mumbai yesterday (July 24) due to an age-related illness. He was 87-years-old. The final rites of the veteran star will be performed today by his family members. Marathi actors who got opportunities to spend time and work with him penned emotional notes on social media and shared their fond memories with the late, renowned actor with fans. Take a look.

​Samir Choughule was a roommate of the late actor.​

Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra actor Samir Choughule penned a lengthy note on Instagram and shared his memories when he was sharing a room with the late actor. He wrote, "Senior actor Jayant Savarkar passed away. We were roommates when we were in Nagpur. "Sameer, you watch TV without any reason till late at night. I have no problem sleeping. I can sleep anywhere". I was constantly telling him to sleep, but this energetic person was not listening to me. He has a habit of praising others and talking about his career. Usually, the concert belongs to someone. But I was lucky that at that time it was just "me". We should be able to live an art like a shadow, like you did for your whole life. We will miss you so much."

​Sarika Nawathe did her first TV show with the late actor​

Sarika Nawathe revealed to her fans that she did her first show with actor Jayant Savarkar. She wrote, Anna, this was my first work; I did my first serial with you in 1997; then in 2018, we did the serial again. And this photo was taken recently, in February, when we did an advertisement together. Everything changed, but your energy was the same as what I had experienced in the beginning.
You are gone, but you gave us all that energy."

​Sunil Barve recalls spending time with the late actor​

Sunil Barve spent the best time with the late Jayant Savarkar and could not believe the news of his demise. He wrote, "Anna! From One Room Kitchen, directed by Gangaram Gavankar, and directed by Vinay Apte, directed by Mangesh Kadam from Herbarium, we did many dramas, serials, and movies. We spent so much time together; I never felt old looking at you! I don't believe that you are gone. ​Jayant Savarkar taught Subodh Bhave lessons in acting​

Subodh Bhave got emotional and reminisced about the day when he was asked for help by the late Jayant Savarkar while delivering a dialogue. He wrote, "Jayant Savarkar passed away. Me- Anna I am doing a program in which I want to enter "Ekch Pyala", I have never worked in Gadkari's drama. Can you teach me how to say that sentence?
Anna, why not? Of course I will teach, happily!
You came all the way to Dadar from Thane and took my training with great enthusiasm. You witnessed such a long journey from musical play to modern play. You ended up working with energy that a young man would be ashamed of. Anna I am lucky to be able to work with you a little bit. Heartfelt tribute to you, Anna.������"

​The late actor had praised Rupali Bhosle for her work​

Marathi veteran actor Jayant Savarkar had made a guest appearance in the show Aai Kuthe Kay Karte for a few episodes, and he liked Rupali's work as Anjana in the show. Rupali recalled memories of the day and penned a note today in the memories of Jayant sir. She wrote, "I had a chance to work with him in Aai Kuthe Kay Karte. I took blessings from him, and he praised me for my work. I was very happy. He taught me many things that day. Rip Sir."
