Kon Honar Crorepati: "It was shocking when we invited famous reality show winners to sing original songs and they couldn't perform," reveals Ajay-Atul

In the recent episode of Kon Honar Crorepati, the music composer duo Ajay-Atul graced the show. Ajay-Atul rose to fame with their exceptional music compositions in various Bollywood films and Marathi cinema. The duo recently spoke about scoring KHC's title song, speaking to parents about the work and how the performance of some popular reality show winners shocked them.

Talking about their journey, Ajay-Atul said that they experimented with KHC's title music this season. Atul said, "Yes we have kept the theme and basic music of Kon Honar Crorepati the same but this time, we have kept the music more orchestral to make it grand."

Ajay Atul said, "In the initial days of our career, we would compose for TV shows and serials, and whenever our parents would ask us what we both do, we had no answers. We would tell them that we compose music for the TV shows and then they would ask whether we would be seen on TV or not. Again, we had no answers."

Host Sachin Khedekar asked Ajay-Atul about their experience of judging the reality show and they both gave a piece of important advice to all singers out there. Ajay said, "People often invite us on reality TV shows and ask us to judge the contestants and share our opinions. One thing that each contestant should keep in mind is that we judge the contestant for a particular song that has already been sung by someone else. So the judges only see how the performer matches up with the original song and the contestant should understand this."

Ajay-Atul further shared their suggestions to the reality show singers and said, "Contestants should also understand the fact that participating in a reality show and performing better than other contestants is not their test, their test is with themselves. When a singer gets his original song and when it is going to be recorded for the first time in their voice., then it will be a real test. A contestant should not think about winning the reality show, he/she should understand what drawbacks he/she has and focus on improvement."

Ajay-Atul further revealed their shocking experience with reality show winners. Ajay-Atul said, "We got shocked when we invited famous reality show winners to perform for our original composition and they could not deliver. We later observed that the reality show singers perform songs on the stage which are already sung by others and when he/she gets the opportunity to sing for an original one, they don't not know how to perform. It's all because they often follow others and keep listening to others. They don't focus on their music, their voice."
