I decided to host Jau Bai Gaavat only for my sister in law who passed away just before the launch, says, Hardeek Joshi

Hardeek Joshi, the versatile actor known for his role in 'Tujhyat Jeev Rangla,' has embarked on a new journey as the host of the show 'Jau Bai Gaavat.' With a strong command of Marathi and a passion for taking on challenges, Hardeek has embraced this unique opportunity to connect with Maharashtra's rich cultural roots. His initial hesitation turned into a rewarding experience as he guides contestants with diverse perspectives on the importance of their village's culture. In the recent conversation, Hardeek's dedication reflected in his preparations, including a deep connection to his cultural practices. He also spoke about taking up the responsibility of hosting and more.

When you received the first call for the show 'Jau Bai Gaavat,' what was your initial reaction?

My initial reaction was that being a host, and me? Since I always enjoy taking on challenging tasks, I took some time to consider this opportunity. However, I trust in my Marathi proficiency, just as our connection is strong, and they made this decision easy for me. There was a bit of hesitation in my mind about whether the audience would accept me for this role. Still, we started the workshop, and it turned out to be very beneficial for me. I didn't have to let go of this opportunity because, as an artist, my command of words has increased, and the opportunity to perform is in my hands.

What is your opinion on the new concept of the show that you have never seen before, and what is your view on it now?

In Maharashtra, I saw this idea for the first time, and I consider myself very lucky that I got the opportunity to become the host of this unique program. I take pride in doing a job that is connected to our culture every day. The new stories that I get to learn every day through this program can have an excellent impact on the audience. The extraordinary idea is 'Jau Bai Gavat.'

How challenging is it to work with women contestants with such diverse thoughts, understanding the importance of their village's culture and heritage for you?

The participants of this program come from different social backgrounds, and their perspective is unique. It is an extra challenge to make them understand the importance of their culture and heritage. However, mistakes are mistakes, and they need to be corrected. Wherever the subject of our tradition and culture is concerned, it is my duty as the host of this program to make them understand, both as a citizen and as a participant in this program. I consider this responsibility to be my duty. In my first show, 'Tujhyat Jeev Rangla,' I played a long role opposite a woman, and here I am shooting with women every day.

Who is your favorite contestant in 'Jau Bai Gaavat'?

All the contestants are intelligent, and each has some unique qualities. Each one has a special trait, and it is necessary to fulfill it if they lack knowledge on any subject. Through this medium, they can learn something, and I enjoy their company.

What preparations have you made for 'Jau Bai Gaavat'?

I had been preparing for this show right from the beginning. I have been shooting for the show 'Tujhyat Jeev Rangla' in Kolhapur for 5 years. Due to this, my connection with this land has become strong. When I was a child, I used to recite the Maruti Stotra and the Ram Raksha Paath with my grandmother, which I had never done before. When I was of the age to read, my grandmother initiated these cultural practices, which I still continue today. It is important to instill our culture in our youth. Our culture can be passed on through our practices. I feel fortunate that this program allows me to connect with my roots every day.

What was the response of your family at home?

For me, this show is very close to my heart. My sister-in-law was very ill, and I was taking care of her before shooting for this show. However, when she understood that I might have to leave 'Jau Bai Gavat,' she held my hand in the hospital and told me that I must not give up this show. Because she knows that I have never taken a break from work, and she did not want me to stop this show. I am fully committed to my responsibility. Unfortunately, she passed away before the launch of the show.

Viewers will witness something extraordinary

'Jau Bai Gaavat' has just started, and only love and encouragement have come from everyone. This is just the beginning, and through this program, the audience will get a chance to see a lot. It is an opportunity for viewers to get a glimpse of something extraordinary that they may not have thought about.
