Actress Hemangi Kavi is saddened after learning the shocking news and shared a throwback picture of Bappi Lahiri on her Instagram. She wrote, "The generation in which we grew up now is slowly evaporating! And I feel like an integral part of me has been taken. How disturbing it is to see our previous generation is going away like this!"

SaReGaMaPa judge Rohit Raut recalled his memories with Bappa Lahiri from the show Indian Idol and shared a video. In the video, Rohit is seen singing Bappi Da's iconic song Pag Ghungroo in front of him and Bappi Da is hailing him. Rohit wrote as a caption, "Thank You Dada For Making Us Dance #FarewellDiscoKing RIP Bappi Lahiri da"
