From opening up about Onkar Bhojane, Vishakha Subhedar's abrupt exit to facing trolls, shocking revelations made by Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra makers Sachin Mote and Sachin Goswami

Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra TV's makers Sachin Mote and Sachin Goswami recently marked their presence on the podcast of Bhargavi Chirmuley, where they made various revelations and answered the most controversial questions of the viewers. The maker duo also spoke about the unknown side of the reality show.

When asked about how they decided to begin MHJ, Sachin Mote said, "We had decided on various names for the show. We were about to keep the name Comedy Che Jahagirdar or Ekach Panch Hadravun Taku Manch, but we discussed and later finalized that Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra looks better and also represents the state and culture."

The producer and director duo of MHJ confessed that during the lockdown, Hasya Jatra became the most watched show, and it gave the show needed fame. Sachin Mote said, "Lockdown helped Hasya Jatra grow. The initial 250 episodes of the show were our hit episodes. People showered so much love on Hasya Jatra during lockdown. It was a time of depression, and our show worked as medicine. It aired in many COVID centers, and we are proud of it."

Sachin Goswami further spoke about facing trolling and backlash from viewers for making comedy skits on serious topics. He said, "People trolled us for our skits. There are people who have objections to many things. If we make a skit in the salon, barbers file a case against us. If we make a skit on a musician, many organizations will come to us. This should not happen. If we will take objections to everything, then how can we find a joke or a moment of happiness? People have become more serious nowadays."

The duo finally opened up about Onkar Bhojane and Vishakh Subhedar's sudden and abrupt exit from the show, and they revealed the reason. Sachin Goswami said, "Onkar Bhojane left the show. He had other commitments. He is still in contact with us. He messages me. It is not like he got hurt and left the show. Onkar had three cinemas in his hands, and he wanted to focus on those. He was a dedicated actor. He is a down-to-earth actor and so dedicated that he does not want to give MHJ less time. He meets us on many occasions. The same thing happened with Vishakha Subhedar. She wanted to get relief from doing comedy. It has been 10 years since she started doing comedy. People trolled and slammed them. People change their jobs to explore new things, so why not in our field?"

"Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra has given identity to the actors and helped them settle into life. Actors from our show have bought homes and cars on EMIS. We are more worried and responsible now about running the show successfully. Their homes are running because of the show, and as makers, we are responsible."
